WIRED

A Sitcom Pilot (Writer)

A pilot script and character outline co-written with James Doggett. Currently on the books of writers’ agent Fiona Grant, at Dench Arnold, and has been read by producer Charlie Hanson.

Story set in the dank, dingy studio of a seriously underfunded underground radio station, and based on the characters who run it.

Script available upon request.

April 2008

LUCY WATSON in THE ROBIN HOOD INVESTIGATION

Solo Stand-Up Show (Writer, Performer, Researcher)

Melbourne International Comedy Festival & Adelaide Fringe Festival

Solo, hour long stand-up show, featuring a half hour original film, shot on location in Nottingham, which I also wrote and produced. The show analysed and mocked the apparent cultural significance of Robin Hood, and generally poked fun at pop culture, and its need to recycle all the same stories over and over again.

November 2007

MAYBE TOMORROW

A Sitcom Pilot (Writer)

A pilot script, character outline and episode break-down for a series co-written by James Doggett. It was submitted to the BBC, and we met with Simon Wilson, who asked us to write another script, and send it to a list of producers he provided, including Charlie Hanson.

The story revolved around 20 somethings who lived in a share-house, but rather than getting it together, they were doing everything they could to avoid getting it together. It was essentially about parties, sub-cultures, lust, DIY and trying not to actually deal with anything.

Script available upon request.

August 2007

LOST YOUTH

A Stand-Up Show (Writer, Performer)

Camden Fringe, ETC Theatre

A stand-up show performed in the Camden Fringe with musician Andrew Macdonald. It contained character sketches, stand-up and a bunch of original songs which explored the fear of approaching 30, and the self-reflection of a youth of sex, drugs and rock and roll.

November 2006 - April 2007

B-TEAM & STINGRAY RETRIBUTION

Sketch Comedy Shows (Writer, Producer, Performer)

London Pub Venues

A collection of sketch comedy shows performed in London over 6 months. I auditioned, cast, and workshopped a group of performers, before editing scripts, and producing several extremely well attended live performances.

January – April 2007

OZ & THEM: Resonance FM

A Radio Show (Presenter, Performer)

A radio show which I presented showcasing Australian music to a London audience. It featured interviews with Wolfmother, and other Australian musicians.

Soundreel available upon request.

April 2005

THE VINYL COUNTDOWN

Sketch Comedy Show (Writer, Performer, Producer)

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

A sketch show performed to sell-out crowds in the Melbourne Comedy Festival. It contained original songs performed by a live rock band, lots of characters and sketches based around the world of rock music, at a time when the popularity of the rock scene was on the rise again.

DVD available upon request.

September 2004

DREAMWEAVERS

A Play (Writer, Performer, Producer)

Melbourne Fringe Festival

A play I co-wrote with Melbourne comedian Nick Caddaye, which was performed in the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

The story followed a day in the lives of the staff of Dreamweavers, an office that dealt with the PR and marketing of celebrity – asking the question: If you spend all day creating illusion, how long before you loose sight of reality?

April 2004

ROCKIN’

A Sketch Show (Writer, Performer, Producer)

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

A production performed in the Melbourne International Comedy Festival taking a humorous look at the world of pop music, and in particular following the rise and fall of Norwegian pop sensations Nuclear Pussy.
